Dr. Vijailakshmi Acharya
Implantologist | Cosmetologist | EndodontistDr. Vijailakshmi Acharya brings nearly 30 years of experience in Implantology, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Endodontics. She earned her BDS from the University of Mumbai and a Master’s in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from Madras University. Trained in Implantology in Sweden and Japan, she was among the first Indian dentists to receive international certification in the field, and has also undergone advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Acharya is a sought-after speaker, having delivered numerous lectures on Practice Management, Aesthetic Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, and Infection Control. She is also deeply involved in public education on oral health.
She leads a modern multi-specialty dental clinic in Chennai and conducts continuing education programs for dental professionals. Dr. Acharya is a member of the Indian and American Dental Associations, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Varun Acharya
Maxillofacial Prosthodontist & ImplantologistDr. Varun Acharya is an internationally trained Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Implantologist, widely recognized for his clinical expertise, academic excellence, and contributions to advanced prosthodontic care. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Saveetha Dental College, graduating as the top student in his class and receiving the Best Outgoing Student award.
He then pursued four years of advanced specialty training in Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry, where he was honoured with the prestigious Adisman Award for being the most outstanding graduating resident. Dr. Acharya further specialized in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Oncologic Dentistry through a fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the world’s leading institutions in cancer care.
Dr. Acharya holds the distinction of being the only American Board-Certified Maxillofacial Prosthodontist currently practicing in India. His work has been recognized with several national honors, including the Famdent Outstanding Dentist of the Year (2018, 2019), Implantologist of the Year (2021), and the Superstar “Above & Beyond” Award (2022).
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Acharya contributes to the advancement of prosthodontics through research, publications in international peer-reviewed journals, and lectures at national and international forums.
