To be very honest , i was in 2 minds whether to attend the course or not as I had mixed reviews from our fellow colleagues. But believe me it’s the eye opener to all the dentists who are planning to open their new clinic or have a well established multi chair clinic.

Acharya Foundation is a State of Art teaching facility which offers a variety of continuing dental education courses . I was fortunate to be the first batch to participate in a dental practice management program called “ First Among equals” in this new wing. This was over all the 14th batch where dental clinicians from all over India had participated . Dr Varun Acharya and Dr Vijailakshmi Acharya cover varies topics in practice management which is helping for every dentist whether they are starting off with their new dental set up or have been practicing for several years .

This is an extensive 3 days hardcore program where we were taught about various aspects of running a dental set up successfully from staff management , clinic aesthetics , billing, record maintenance, taxation and many more .

In fact taxation and accounts was the a topic which most of the dentists hardly have much knowledge about. Dr Acharya runs a successful dental clinic since several years which includes 16 dental rooms and a state of the art in house dental lab . The new wing at the Acharya foundation has added more dental chairs and will also be teaching live patient demonstration in future courses .

We were also taken for a tour of their dental clinic where they spoke about every small detail from the ease of patient parking, setting up dental equipment , each dental room requirements and dimensions and a lot more.

I must add that they want to share their wisdom and knowledge to everyone and nothing is a secret or hidden.

My experience in Chennai and the hospitality of Dr Varun and Dr Vijailakshmi Acharya was beyond enriching .
